The Rubicon Trail is one of the most rugged and challenging off-road trails in the United States, perhaps even the world! It lays claims to many tires, axles, and even entire vehicles. It is the great grand-daddy of all 4-wheel trails. Privileged few will ever encounter the grand glacial remnants found in this desolated outback. We offer a variety of Rubicon ATV Tours that pass through some of the most well-known landmarks on the trail. Select from one of the options below to get more information.

PINE NUT MOUNTAIN ATV TOURS

Experience the rugged beauty and the delicate eco-system of the high desert in the Pine Nut Mountains. If you think the desert is flat, you'll be surprised. Our guides will take you through the winding washes, up steep hills, and down rugged canyons. You will enjoy majestic views of this remote and beautiful landscape and if you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the wild mustangs that roam free across Nevada. Our Miller Lake trip is our most popular choice on the Rubicon. This trip is suitable for beginner to intermediate riders and goes for two hours. You'll pass McKinney Lake, then Lilly Lake, then on to Miller Lake. Miller is a perfect example of a beautiful high-elevation Sierra lake. Serene, wild, and surrounded by rugged country. Keep a sharp eye out for eagles, hawks, ospreys, deer and bears!

Our Dollar Hole trip is a popular choice for those seeking a bit of an off-road challenge. This tour lasts approximately 3 hours. After you cross the Pacific Crest Trail, you'll reach Dollar Hole. Dollar Hole is the first really serious obstacle on the Rubicon Trail. Ride through here and you’ll know you’ve driven an ATV.

Quick Facts :: Observation Point Tour

A half-hour beyond Dollar Hole is Observation Point. You'll pass a series of short waterfalls over hard, unforgiving Sierra granite worn smooth over thousands of years. At some point you'll crest a grey granite dome and arrive at your destination. This challenging trip goes deep enough into the Rubicon earning you serious bragging rights. The view from Observation Point is spectacular. As always, wildlife abounds! Keep your eyes peeled and your camera ready at the rest stops.

Quick Facts :: Rubicon Springs Tour

This is our longest and most challenging Rubicon tour. You'll be on the trail long enough to require a meal, and we include it on this trip! Past Observation Point, you'll descend the famous Cadillac Hill. From there it's just a short hop to Rubicon Springs. Once you catch your breath, you get to do it all again in the opposite direction! This tour requires skill, strength, and endurance. After this trip, you'll know you've accomplished an amazing journey!
